For over 20 years, year 12 students across Australia have celebrated the end of year 12 with Schoolies week. BookSchoolies.com is here to ensure that you, as a year 12 student, celebrate this momentous occasion with style!

BookSchoolies.com has many years of experience in organising Schoolies week events. We understand how to organise a fun filled and memorable schoolies week, whilst also ensuring that your safety remains our top priority.

3. Do I get a wristband and building ID pass if I book with BookSchoolies.com?' back to the top

The wristbands are issued by the Qld Government so every Schoolie will receive a wristband. They do not provide information on regards to this until closer to the Schoolies period. BookSchoolies.com also provides a building ID pass. *Some properties outside of the Gold Coast area may not require a building ID pass.

BookSchoolies.com specialises in organising and running Schoolies events. As a specialist we know what to do to make sure that you have an amazing and memorable Schoolies week. We also know what is required to ensure that the event is enjoyed in a safe environment. Security precautions will be in place throughout the Schoolies event including security guards at all buildings. Photo ID building entry cards will also be provided to all Schoolies guests.

Schoolies weeks for 2010 are as follows:

You can book your schoolies week accommodation on the www.bookschoolies.com website or by phoning us.

7. How much deposit will I pay to book my Schoolies holiday?' back to the top

You will be required to pay a $110 per person non refundable deposit at the time you make your booking.

8. How do I pay the deposit?' back to the top

This deposit must be paid on the www.bookschoolies.com website. Your deposit can be paid using Visa or Mastercard.

9. How do I make further payments?' back to the top

You can make further payments on the www.bookschoolies.com website at anytime. The booking reference number and password that you are issued with at the time of booking, will allow you and your room mates to view your booking and make further payments. Payments can be made using Visa or Mastercard. Each room mate will be able to make their own payments, however the organizer will be responsible for ensuring that all payments are received within 60 days of check in.

10. What is the deadline for final payment?' back to the top

Final payment must be received 60 days prior to the start of your chosen Schoolies week. If payment is not received by this date, your booking will be cancelled and your deposits will be retained.

11. What happens if I do not pay by the due date?' back to the top

Your booking will be at risk of being cancelled.

12. How can I view my booking?' back to the top

You can view your booking by logging into www.bookschoolies.com/Login.aspx and entering your booking reference and password into the log in screen.

13. Can I make changes to my booking after it has been made?' back to the top

Some changes may incur an amendment fee but you will be able to make the following changes to your booking via www.bookschoolies.com

  • Edit the name of a group member
  • Change the email address or contact details of members of the group
  • Change your travel dates
  • Swap people between rooms
  • Replace members of the group
  • Cancel a room
  • Cancel a group member
  • 14. How many people can stay in my room?' back to the top

    Your room description will include information about the maximum number of people that can share a room. This number must be strictly adhered to at all times due to fire and safety regulations. Anyone found to have more than the maximum number of people in their room will risk eviction and loss of payment.

    15. How much is the bond, what is it for and when will it be refunded?' back to the top

    You will be required to pay a bond of $200 per person to cover any incidental charges or damages. The bond will be refunded to your nominated bank account approximately 10 days after check out, subject to clearance from the building manager.

    16. What happens if I want to cancel my schoolies booking?' back to the top

    If you cancel your booking outside of 60 days you will lose your full deposit. If you cancel your booking within 60 days of check in, full payment will be retained by Book Schoolies.com. Cancellations must be advised by email to BookSchoolies.com.

    17. What happens if one of my room mates wants to cancel their place in the booking?' back to the top

    If a member of your group wishes to cancel, they can do this through the www.bookschoolies.com website by logging into the booking using the unique booking reference and password. Please note, that the per person price for other members of the group will increase if a person is cancelled off of a booking. Any cancellations will be subject to loss of deposit or full payment, subject to the date the cancellation is made. Alternatively, if you can find another person to replace the member of the group that wishes to cancel, simply use the 'replace' person button to change the name on the booking. In this instance the deposit will be transferred to the new person. A person who already has an existing booking with BookSchoolies.com cannot replace another person.

    18. Can I edit a name on my booking?' back to the top

    To edit a name on your booking simply log into your booking and select the edit details button. Only the organiser can edit names. If you change the name completely, your travel insurance will be invalid.

    19. Why has the per person balance owing increased?' back to the top

    The per person balance owing amount may have increased if a person has cancelled off of your booking. If another person is found to replace this person the balance owing will change again. The cost of the accommodation is based on per person, not per room.

    20. What happens if I cancel or a room mate wants to cancel after full payment has been taken?' back to the top

    If a person cancels within 60 days of check in then full payment will be forfeited.

    21. Can I move my booking to a different date?' back to the top

    Subject to availability, you may be able to move your booking to a different date. There is an amendment fee of $50 per person to do this. The organiser can log into the booking via the website and change the dates of your booking.

    22. Can I move my booking to a different building?' back to the top

    Subject to availability, you may be able to move your booking to another building. There is an amendment fee of $50 per person to do this. We will need notification in writing for us to be able to change your booking if you wish to move buildings.

    23. What are house rules?' back to the top

    House rules are the building's individual terms and conditions by which you agree to abide during your stay. You must ensure that you and all members of your group have read the house rules for your building. By confirming a booking, you are confirming that you and all members of your group have read and agree to these rules.

    24. What are my responsibilities as group organiser?' back to the top

    As group organiser it is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your group have read and understood the house rules and terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to inform other members of your group of any information relating to your booking such as cancellations, name changes and amendments. All correspondence from Book Schoolies.com will be addressed to you. You will also be responsible for ensuring that full payment is made by each member at least 60 days before check in.

    25. Do I need to take out Travel Insurance?' back to the top

    Book Schoolies.com recommends that you take out travel insurance. Travel insurance will cover you for unexpected events that may lead to you cancelling your booking, travelling to and from the event and your personal belongings during the event.     26. When will I receive my travel documents?' back to the top

    Your travel documents will be made available to you 21 days before check in. Documents will not be made available until full payment has been received.

    27. How do I know my credit card details are safe on your website?' back to the top

    BookSchoolies.com uses SSL for all credit card transactions. SSL is a secure method of transmitting information over the internet. BookSchoolies.com does not store any credit card information.

    28. Where do the Schoolies events take place?' back to the top

    Traditionally the Gold Coast in Queensland has been the most popular destination for year 12 graduates. BookSchoolies.com offers a huge choice of the most popular buildings in the Gold Coast, plus a great range of alternative destinations including Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Airlie Beach & Bali.

    Group Travel Manager is a travel agency contracted by Book Schoolies to handle reservations

    30. When will the winner be announced for the Video Competition?' back to the top

    The winner for the Video Competition will be contacted by phone or email no later than Friday 5th February 2010. For more details on this competition please visit the website. Don't forget to read the terms and conditions before submitting your entry.

    31. If I cancel do I lose my $110 deposit?' back to the top

    As per our terms and conditions, the $110 deposit is non-refundable however a person may change the name of a group member to whom the deposit relates. It this occurs, the deposit for the original group member will be transferred to the new group member. Name changes can be done free of charge online by using the 'replace' button. These changes will incur a $50 amendment fee if made in writing through the call centre.

    Flights and transfers are available for booking through our website.
