Airlie Beach is a wonderful jumping point to the Whitsundays and not to forget a fun spot for your Schoolies holiday. From Proserpine airport, it's only about a half hour drive away.
The main street offers many choices for restaurants, entertainment and shopping. In the centre of town, is the popular Airlie Beach lagoon. It's free and a fun place to spend the day chilling out in the water. For activities you can sail, snorkel, swim, dive and explore the Whitsundays from Airlie with many tour operators offering trips out to the reef.
Our picks for accommodation are Airlie Waterfront Backpackers which is located right in the centre of town, Searene Whitsundays; a brand new property; Reefside Villas has a great selection of Mediterranean style apartments; Blue Horizons is perfect for larger Schoolies groups as they have 3 - 4 bedroom Penthouse's and Club Crocodile as it is in a great location plus offers great value for money.
